happy birthday/father's day

Sunday was, as we all know, Father's day. It was also Jamie's birthday. He has successfully turned four, although he still wants to be three - because he wants to be a baby. Apparently, being a "big boy" is too much work.
We didn't have a party for him, not a real one. We didn't have time! He got lots of little parties with family and friends, and he got presents.

He enjoyed a cake, cookies, brownies, and pie. Isn't that enough? If it isn't, he now has lots of money to spend (but it will probably end up in his bank account).
BTW, he got new glasses - what do you think? He picked them out by himself.

Nice decorating job! What kind of cake was it? Chocolate???
Cute cookies too.

You mentioned him not wanting to be a big boy. The picture seems to agree as it looks like he is sitting on a potty chair.

I love the new glasses! They are very fashionable. He has great taste! Can't wait to see you when you get here. (Well, I'll get in on July 10.)

KJ, the cake was yellow. Yellow cake, yellow frosting. (Jamie's favorite color, and apparently flavor!) I gave it more taste by making the frosting lemon, and by putting blueberry filling between the 3 layers. It was very sweet.
Andy, we had to ban the potty chair. He liked to watch tv on it... so now he's a real big boy.
Linda, we'll be there to see you! Yay!

KJ, I forgot - the cookies were from the leftover cake batter that I baked in a 1/4 sheet pan. I used a cookie cutter, then treated them as petits fours. Well, I went easier then the cook book - I melted canned frosting to pour over them, and then decorated with tubes of gel frosting that I got on the clearance rack awhile ago. They were quite yummy - not as sweet as the cake!
